Trailblazers Local Passport
A pocket guide to local businesses for visiting basketball families, built for my kid's club.

Signed sponsors
6 local businesses
Sponsor levels
$250 to $5,000
Whole site at launch
78 KB
To add a sponsor
One file, one double-click
The challenge
The Collingwood Trailblazers wanted local businesses to sponsor the club, and to give those businesses something real in return. The idea was a digital passport of local spots that visiting teams and families could pull up at the gym.
What existed was a mockup stuck inside a fake phone frame, full of made-up businesses, with buttons that went nowhere and no way for a sponsor to actually sign up.
What I built
A real site, made for phones
Every business gets its own page and its own link, with tap-to-call, directions and their website one tap away. Families get there by scanning a poster on the gym door.
Fast on gym wifi
The whole site, images included, came in at 78 KB at launch. It opens before anyone has time to give up.
A sponsor form that does the paperwork
It changes with the level a business picks, from $250 to $5,000, asks only for what that level needs, and emails the sponsor a confirmation from the club.
Print that matches
A QR poster for the gym door, designed white so it prints cleanly on a club printer, and a redesigned sponsorship package with working QR codes where it used to say "Coming Soon".
Easy to keep current
Adding a sponsor means filling in one file and double-clicking. A built-in check catches a typo before it can reach the live site.

A category page on the passport, listing local businesses with their offers

A single business's page on a phone, with call, directions and website buttons
The result
Six local businesses signed on within five weeks of the sponsor form going live, from a furniture store to a physio studio to the Town of Collingwood itself.
When the first real offer came in, the offers section switched itself on with no change to the code. That is the part I am proudest of: it keeps working without me.

What I would build for a small salon that lives on Instagram and a booking app.
